Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data R&D Tax Credit Specialists collects when you use this website or send an enquiry, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and your rights under UK data protection law.
Who is the data controller?
The controller is R&D Tax Credit Specialists, a trading name of an unincorporated UK business. You can contact us about privacy by email at info@rdtaxcreditspecialists.co.uk or through our contact form; please start your message with “Privacy request”.
What data do we collect?
- Enquiry data: your name, company, work email, phone number if given, sector, region, approximate R&D spend, tax position, year end, whether you have claimed before and anything you write in the message box.
- Technical data: the page you sent the form from and, if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site.
Why do we use it, and on what lawful basis?

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect sharing that already took place, but we will tell the firms we introduced you to.
Who do we share data with?
- Panel firms: with your consent, the firms we introduce you to. Each becomes a separate controller of your data and has its own privacy notice. Current panel firms are listed on our panel page.
- Formspree: the form service that receives and forwards your enquiry to us, acting as our processor.
- Cloudflare: our website host and security provider, acting as our processor.
- Microsoft (Clarity): our analytics processor, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone outside this list except where the law requires.
Is data transferred outside the UK?
Some of our processors are based in, or use sub-processors in, the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum, as set out in each processor's terms.
How long do we keep data?
We keep enquiry data for 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can handle questions and complaints about introductions, then delete it. Panel firms keep data according to their own policies.
What are your rights?
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent and, where relevant, receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@rdtaxcreditspecialists.co.uk or contact us through the form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
How do we protect data?
The site is served over HTTPS, the form uses spam protection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who run the service.
