Our Editorial Policy
Every guide on this site is written to help businesses understand UK R&D tax relief, checked against primary sources from HMRC and GOV.UK, and dated. We do not publish invented figures, client results or reviews. When the rules change, we update the affected pages and the review date.
What sources do we use?
We use primary sources first: legislation, HMRC guidance and manuals, the government's guidelines on the meaning of R&D, and official statistics. We may refer to professional bodies and reputable commentary for context, but rates, dates and rules are always checked against GOV.UK.
How do we handle figures and examples?
- Every statistic names its source and period
- Worked examples are labelled as illustrations and use headline rates
- We do not publish client results or case studies unless they are real, verified and published with permission
- We do not publish reviews unless they are genuine and linked to their source
How often do we update content?
We review all guides at least every six months and after each Budget, Finance Act or significant HMRC guidance change. The last full review was on 31 October 2026.
Is this tax advice?
No. Our content is general information. Your company's position depends on its facts, and you should take advice from a qualified adviser before making a claim.
How do we use AI tools?
We may use AI tools to help draft or structure content. Every page is reviewed by a person and checked against sources before publication.
How do I report an error?
Please email info@rdtaxcreditspecialists.co.uk or use our contact form. We correct errors promptly and note significant corrections on the page.
